Sunday — Integration Day
Gear check, Thamel exploration, optional massage, and light preparation.
Nepal — The Ascent
May 11 — Kathmandu (~4,593 ft) → Namche Bazaar (~11,286 ft)
Helicopter transfer into the Khumbu. Initial medical check and acclimatization.
Filming Focus: Arrival sequences, breath awareness, establishing Namche, first contact with altitude.
May 12 — Thamo (~11,500 ft) & Everest View (~12,729 ft)
Acclimatization hike to Thamo Monastery and Everest View Hotel.
Filming Focus: Spiritual rituals, Nuns Puja, Prayer Flags, human connection, first Everest views.
May 13 — Everest View (~12,729 ft)
Interviews and environmental filming.
Filming Focus: Reflection, scale of nature, internal journey, silence and presence.
May 14 — Everest Base Camp (~17,598 ft)
Helicopter to Everest Base Camp and Khumbu Icefall. Return to Kathmandu (~2 PM).
Afternoon filming at Monkey Temple and Boudhanath. (~4,593 ft).
Filming Focus: Emotional and visual climax, high-altitude exposure, integration of the journey.
Tibet — The Pilgrimage
May 15 — Lhasa (~11,975 ft)
Cultural immersion and preparation.
May 16 — Taqin (~15,091 ft)
Arrival to Kailash base region. Acclimatization.
May 17 — Kora Day 1 → Dirapuk (~16,404 ft)
Distance: ~13.7 miles (22 km) | 7–8 hours
Gentle hike through valleys with full north face of Kailash.
Filming Focus: Opening of the pilgrimage, devotion, first full encounter with Kailash.
May 18 — Kora Day 2 → Dolma La (~18,471 ft) → Zutulpuk (~15,584 ft)
Distance: ~12.4 miles (20 km) | 8–9 hours
Steep ascent to the highest point of the kora, followed by descent.
Filming Focus: Threshold, endurance, transformation.
May 19 — Kora Day 3 → Return to Taqin (~15,091 ft) + Lake Manasarovar (~15,060 ft)
Distance: ~11.2 miles (18 km) | ~4 hours
Gentle descent completing the kora, followed by visit to sacred lake.
Filming Focus: Integration, peace, spiritual completion.
May 20 — Return
Flights back toward Lhasa and Hong Kong/USA
Filming Focus: Closure and return to the world.
Hong Kong — Transition
Kelly and Roya depart Thursday 5/21.
Andrew, Karin, and Silvia remain for meetings.
